CFCSD is:

A national platform that works with and promotes other associations, training programs, and churches in Canada. We are independent and incorporated as a Canadian Not-for-profit organization.

A community for Christian spiritual directors and those dedicated to the development and sustaining the Christian spiritual life in others.

Grounded in Scripture and Biblical theology, having a Trinitarian approach to the spiritual life, which is informed by the richness and diversity of our Christian heritage.

Our Purpose

The Canadian Fellowship of Christian Spiritual Directors (CFCSD) exists to champion Christian spiritual directors in their work, advocate the ministry of spiritual direction within Canadian churches and connect those seeking spiritual direction with trained spiritual directors and prayer companions.

  • We seek to provide opportunities for the individual growth of affiliated spiritual directors through supportive fellowship, professional ministry development, resourcing and encouragement.

• Advocate

  • We are committed to advocating for the ministry of spiritual direction; strengthening and expanding the spiritual formation ministries within Christian churches across Canada. We seek to increase the awareness among pastoral ministry leaders, congregations and leaders about the role of spiritual direction in Christian formation.

• Connect

  • We seek to provide a community of hospitality to connect, support, encourage and resource spiritual directors for continued personal spiritual growth.
