Founders Bill and Kristi Gaultiere are Drs. of Psychology, Spiritual Directors, and authors who offer a distinctive approach to emotional health, spiritual formation, and fruitful ministry. Soul Shepherding Institute offers spiritual formation and soul care retreats designed for pastors, spiritual directors, missionaries and ministry leaders. Soul Shepherding’s Spiritual Direction Training is a two year hybrid, online and in-person program.

Through a Christ-centered trinitarian model and a focus on the Enneagram Harmony Map, Crossroads Soul Resources (CSR): School of Spiritual Direction develops whole and holy spiritual directors and leaders to be able to accompany others on the journey to know and experience God. We see spiritual companionship as a critical discipline for all those who are in God for the sake of the world. “Action and contemplation are inextricably bound.” This hybrid online or in-person program begins with an intensive, introductory time of Motions of the Soul (MOS) Enneagram training.

Christos Center for Spiritual Formation
Located in two locations, St. Paul (Minnesota) and Fargo (North Dakota), Christos is an ecumenical program that trains students of all Christian denominations though their two-year program: Tending the Holy: Preparation for the Ministry of Spiritual Direction. They also train in Chicago, IL, as well as through a distance/virtual program. Currently, a third of their spiritual direction students come from evangelical denominations.

Emmaus Formation Centre
Are you called to help others grow spiritually? By joining our training program, you join spiritual directors around the world, to meet the needs of so many, seeking to broaden and deepen their relationship with our God. Our spiritual direction certificate program is offered in an on-line learning experience in addition to residencies in southern Ontario. We are ecumenical, believing God is already at work in all our lives–desiring to draw us ever more intimately into life with God.

Healing Care Ministries
Certificate Program in Spiritual Formation & the Art of Spiritual Direction
This certificate program in Spiritual Formation and the Art of Spiritual Direction provides participants with the contemplative experiences, knowledge, and wisdom necessary to deepen their awareness of God, self, and others while training and equipping them to serve as a spiritual director. A series of four residencies, and two praxes form the core of this two-year program with a virtual format between residencies to facilitate faculty guidance and peer interaction. The final stage of the program is an enterprising praxis in which students explore and discern how they are being called to serve in the ministry of spiritual direction. Students graduating from our program are eligible for membership and recognition in the CFCSD (Canadian Fellowship of Christian Spiritual Directors).

Renovaré Canada
Renovaré models, resources, and advocates fullness of life with God experienced, by grace, through the spiritual practices of Jesus and of the historical Church. We imagine a world in which people’s lives flourish as they increasingly become like Jesus. To aid the church in reaching this end, Renovaré Canada offers a number of ministries, including: individual spiritual mentoring, online renewal groups, conferences/retreats, and a certificate program in spiritual formation and leadership. We are also available to meet with individual churches to help guide them through the process of making spiritual formation into Christlikeness a key component of their ministry. Renovaré Canada is also working toward developing a symposium on Christian spirituality with the hope of bringing together both practitioners and scholars to discuss this topic in our Canadian context.
