2021 Virtual Professional Development-Spring2021

In place of our annual gathering, the CFCSD invites you to take several relative virtual professional development events during 2021. Rather than traveling to an event or retreat center, join the workshops from anywhere with Internet access. The workshops are an opportunity for you to engage with other Canadian spiritual directors and the worldwide learning community.

Scheduled between active learning times of 3 to 4 hours, professional development workshops feature a guest facilitator, personal time to process and practise the tool, small group discussion and a Q&A period.

The first of these events begin May 12th with “Holy Listening in a Zoom World; How to Give an On-Line Retreat”

Holy Listening in a Zoom World: How to Hold an On-Line Retreat

Date: May 12th, 12:00 to 3:00 PM EST

Presenter: Becky Eldredge

Join Ignatian-trained spiritual director, author, and retreat facilitator Becky Eldredge for a 3-hour session designed to help you discern what virtual offerings best fit your personal call as a spiritual director/companion. Having led over 50 virtual retreats in 2020, Becky will share her expertise and practical tips on how to hold contemplative space online and deliver content virtually. Leave with a plan to cultivate sacred space online and create meaningful virtual offerings that facilitate an encounter with God.
