About Me

My journey towards a formal spiritual formation and direction training was along a very long and twisty-turny road. That road can be familiar for many Spiritual directors. I spent my young adult years at Ontario Bible College and the University of Waterloo, graduating with a B.A. I received an AMI Montessori Primary Teacher’s Certificate and worked in Montessori schools.  During this time, I got married to Lawrence, had 4 children, and moved from Waterloo, to Montreal, to California, and then to Ottawa. I worshipped and served in different churches, Anglican, Baptist, Mennonite Brethren, and the Vineyard California. Through this time, God was calling me gently, pressing in at points in my life to go deeper with Him. I felt his deep desire in me to train into “something else, somewhere”. After much prayer, some pastoral counselling, and discernment, I enrolled at Emmaus Formation Centre and graduated with certificates in Spiritual Formation and Direction. My favourite practices have been re-writing the Psalms, the Daily Office, Lectio, Visio, and Musical Divina. I have a deep desire for people to know Jesus, to grow deeper in their lives with him. I hope they will be able to hear and recognize his voice and his direction.
     My husband and I have 2 married daughters, and 2 adult sons, and 3 grandchildren. We worship at St Peter and St Paul’s Anglican, Ottawa.
